youcandoit! <--- a new map by barcode, it has a pretty nice gameplay, definitely one of the better ones by this guy.
i really really took care with the redirect so if ther are any problems its due to utfiles.com being shit.
the maps are taken from the i4g mapbase; if they crash your ut it is most probably a corruption of the file due to package loss OR the map contains elements your graphic renderer does not support. all maps are tested by me with direct3d. openGL aint that good for UT anyways.. UTDC users know hahaa

Good Day Friends, Mates, krazy peeps who I all like!
First of all I want to wish peace and love upon everyones life.
Dont call me a christian, still I regard true happiness as a logical base of personal improvement. Thus our friends AND our foes shall live happy lives for them to take one step further in the direction of humanism.
OK.. enough bout that.
Why update anything? "isnt everything just fine?"
No it is not. I will tell you why.
the bt community has been (consciously [by i4g]) reduced to young kids, fat kids, rushers and rusty personae.
Sometimes all of the above at the same time -.-
I have feared that to come. I have been on BT from day 2 and I am not lying: It has changed until now.
Klans are dying (woot), absolutistic and humanly alienating communities (fbt, i4g) have taken control of the whole virtual landscape.
The fact that some clans (KAUT) obviously jump to the conclusion they would have to separate and fire up new servers for ever fewer players isnt only NOT logical, also completely irrational.
Check Bunnytrack server tab if you have it and enjoy the horrific outcome when you sort according to the amount of players. more than 20 servers are empty regularly. Sure some servers contain 1 or 2 lonely players.
Those should gather on 1 or 2 specific servers. That is where I see the future of VRN.
As Stanley Williams said: We need to unite.
What we need now is consistency. We need warm hands to melt the ice because breaking it is not sensitive enough.
We need to give home to everyone as "home for everyone" once was the slogan of our klan.
In my opinion even a blind man can see that we are not yet in the state of capability to bear that responsibility.
I for myself was quite a bitch to be honest. It was OK back in the days of crowded servers. Being banned from FBT not only showed me once again how stupid they are but also how serious the situation has become.
Why do we need consistency? opportunistic minds will never keep alive BT!
Therefore we are changing
Back to ASC 7 - self-explanatory I think
A clean selection of maps by me. I have played BT from the start, I know what is played. The selection is NOT final at all. You are welcome to make constructive requests
(only 5 or 6 keymaps are played in total, they will be renamed to CTF-BT- | Back in the days jtwizzy has forwarded that idea by creating keymaps without a specific prefix)
Fewer administrators .. PLEASE.
:Logic:
1 consistent players hate administration abuse.
2 There is high administration abuse on FBT.
3 There is low administration abuse on VRN.
4 conclusion: consistent players will switch to VRN.
having talked about the updates on the server, I will now point out the updates within our community.
we need loyal and consistent players. we need people who are backing VRN at 110 %.
players who love the game, show some effort to keep it alive (mapping, connecting good people, maintainance of forums/server).
we do not need anyone to join us then leave shortly after just because the person found a kooler clan containing more good rushers with records.
we do not need fishing for administration or ASC abilities.
the application criteria will change:
- minimal join age will be 16 years (if you are under 16 years and already be a member of VRN regard yourself as a special invitee  )
- necessary join reason: personal interest in the community (no shit.. who guessed it?)
- sign up at www.vrn-klan.org and introduce yourself in the subforum "Application"
we do not need many members, we need a smiling bunny to hop on its tracks. (metaphoric: MaZ means happy players in the Chillingfields)
If we have many members thats great for sure yet think of opportunistic members.. we need a consistent core.

Welcome to our site! This site is going to be the MAIN site of the clan, it has been for a long time but with all the admins dead to computer world i couldn't do anything. Sorry!
Now that 1 of the admins has been revived he will attempt to keep what we've done together going, and of course build it all up again / more.
**IMPORTANT** i am NOT ADMIN on this site, i simply run the server as we needed a EURO one, then MaZ shut his down due to real life taking priority so i became the server owner of UN.
I only have durisdiction on MY SERVER, on this site i am simply a member, an old member yes.
Ignore my join date, i was banned and i had to remake my account, i've been here a LOT longer.

| US Server goes down |

my chicago server will pop out of business.
it is now to announce that its agony has come to an end.
which means in detail that by the end of february clanservers.com will close my server.
i now reminisce those wonderful moments we had in the server, both, as UN and even more as VRN. the server will always remain in my mind as the manifestation of the positive energy i invested in the Veterans friends and family klan. please spell klan with K ok, thats kool.
me personally i had some of the most enjoyable, emotional, intellectual gaming and online-conversation experiences EVER on this gameserver; thus its meaning has reached a point of undescribability for me.
during my online.. well Record if you want, my agenda, my plans my experiences and achievements this server has always been a place to retreat, yes it kinda ressembles a resort.
i hope it had and will continue to have such a spiritual crystal in your virtual life as well.
why does it come to an end?
regardless, like you all know, my everyday life does not permit much gaming anymore it is no longer acceptable for me to put aside 13 euronen each calendar month.
if you calculate accumulatively youll come to the following conclusion 12x13€ = 156€ a year
so what does this number tell us.
nothin much, the most of you might say.
to the contrary, throughout economy crisis within europe which cause increased cost of livin the amount of roughly 150€ has become the amount to provide basic supplies for.. well SURVIVING.
ERGO: all in all the abandonment of my US Server saves me one fuckin month of life in the phase of building up a static base for my later existence on very planet very earth.
it might sound exaggerating and theatrical but hell, when you grow up or touch this circulating bloodsucking sphere we call modern life my words will hammer themselves back into your brain with a vengeance.
however this is what i call Veteran, and this is what made me build up the klan from scratch in late 06.
Veteran is the spiritual power you carry within your soul throughout your everyday life and which makes you cope with shit and stand your ground.
and this is why ill always keep in mind my server.
and why i invite you to play with me on it the early evenings NEXT WEEK.
16th-21st of february 09.
it is also why i am not sad.
keep in mind.
'Veteran' is why we live
it has never been a klan but a lifestyle
at least thats what it has been to me and what it will remain to be for me.
i hope this speech was able to express what was on my mind related to the downgo of my US Server and to give shape to the pile of thoughts and emotions i dug out for you.

Hey peeps!
since im extremely occupied with my job as a civil servant in a disabled people centre AND which is much more important to me: my girlfriend
ther doesnt remain a lot of time i could spend for UT anymore 
i was thinkin its time to notify yall bout this 
please do NOT think i cant be online anymore. i definitely WILL be online occasionally.. just not like i was when i still went to school 
the reasons why im writing you this are:
a) cause i want you to know
b) cause i will be on a one-week-scholarship in another town (Karlsruhe)
