Guys just to inform you i am aware the server is down, i have done a tracert as well as attempted to connect to the FTP and restart the server from my commands, i have no ability what so ever to put it back on.
Sorry about this!
I can't give an estimate of when it'll be back on, but MaZ you have a log in to Gameservers.com so if you can monitor that'd be great.
Trace route failed on the server completely. I don't know where it's going to but it's completely dead right now, deader than dead.
1-30.
All traces after 12 died. Most are normal to time out because it's some station somewhere that transfers data from the server to us.
Just so you're aware from my house it's 30 different places before i get to my server. To get the ping i do on there it's a fucking minor Miracle.
Stick by it, if it's not on tomorrow i'll be home about 5:30 England time (BST (GMT+1) At the moment).

ahahaha you thought I was dead but I'm not! In fact I AM WINNING RIGHT NOW, fighting hard slowly gaining my life back from the uni work.. argh who am I lyin.. I'm right in the middle of a huge pile of a shitload of work xD
hah, especially in the times I cannot really afford to play UT I think about it the most.. I almost have a bad conscience about it haha.. ridiculous!
At least that conscience converted into money, so we've got some support in,

DraculasCastle - a seriously hard map by h0ntr with some quality obstacles in difficulty and creativity
EternalCave - one of my favorite ctf maps ported to bt, decent job by lauren
Legoism - the legomania doesnt stop, Roel gets his take on it. quite hard if you dont spend your time with it in god mode^^
mordor - new, style map with a bit of normal weapons bt, created by irridium77
Over(Roel)ed - a compilation of easy parts from his own maps, probably the koolest compilation map, especially if youre not the hugest fan of CN xD
OverNight-v3 - a mid difficult map by janttu
Prosperity - a linear map by lauren, krypton style
SubtleFallout (v2 is going to be on the next update) - a map reminiscent of OldMill by the same genius, drunklove
TheFragUnitBT3 - a linear rush map by TheFragUnit i guess

Afflict - find the right way, short challenging map
Antique-v2 - nice map by Metanet, not so rushbased as his previous
Athenian-2 - one of alchemist's many ancient themed maps, it contains parts of what later became pergamon and unseen parts of old unreleased maps of his
BackToBasics-v2 - new map by Mave, i really like it, reminds me of uncommon, altho it is almost nothing like it
BaseOnMars - new map by Whitey aka Pennywise, after Interscope this is just another quality div3 difficulty map for solo play.
Beast - new map by Lotus, that dude really found his own style of mapping, his maps are linear but still dont lack creativity at all, recommendable map!
Climax - old map by Warlord, short and not particularly beautiful but really fun to play.
CrematoriuM_nmc - oldskool shizzle by JoMaX? honestly i forgot.. one of the maps i used to play when i started playin bt back in 2004, i couldnt get past the sarcophagi then xD - challenge the old maz and cap it!
CryptLoop - nice key but fun map by Icehawk, elder brother of mapper and former VRN member Magmablaz
Cyborg-Dhaos-love - basic textues but well designed by former VRN member spire
Disortion - see Rapture
EgyptianSun-v2 - new, egyptian themed map by Raylen, div3 difficulty
FloatingCastle_dbl - somebody doubled DoctorDoomSpeedy's map, you know it, i got a video of it on youtube - SUBSCRIBE AND THUMBS UP PLEASE 
Freedom_dbl - VRN is omnipresent, spire and tomtomz made this map which almost made it into a cup last season
Halcyon-v3 - someone of i4gs regulars made this map, Zanmato if i remember correctly, except for one part it is a pretty nice work.
II-DownfallCB3 - the hardest ever team map by h0ntr whose name i cannot pronounce properly LOL, the map that caused all the big fuzz this cup, it was mainly fixed by Raylen, but Safester and i also laid hand on it
II-GIYA-v2 - a nice team map which before was uncapturable, i dont know who fixed it, lauren sent it to me a while ago, maybe she has..
III-TheHorror - a short team map by exactly that lauren
III-TripleTrial-v2 - a pain in the ass but quite kool team map by Pawel, the new mapping machine
III-WarBaseCB - reuploaded cause it used to crash, dont know if it fixed anything, all dependent files are actually on the server..
krank - a normal weapon map by irridium77, amongst other people like bnt who have contributed way more criticism than i did, i also tested this map for dude.. havent played the final version yet, i seriously hope he fixed what gave me concerns...
Medusa-vF - a map by syntex WHO SHEEPY AND I HAVE BEATEN IN THE CUP MUWHAHAHAHAHAHAA, nah but seriously, its a nice map, just a little bit unbalanced in difficulty, challenging as fuck
MetalFactory - map by either Warlord of ResT.. i think it was the latter, repetitive lava and factory style but its not bad and fun to play.
Orbfield - style map by roel, colourful key collecting map
RageawaX_fix - the map which i played when i first met my long time homie who btw is also the host of this site, still after all them years he pays for it, i must make a video of it for you maaaaaaan, great map, oldskool.. we played this in 2004-2006
Rapture - short rush map
Religious-Rush-v4 - first i thought it was a previous, before unreleased version of RushForJesus, but it is not, same theme, same rushy style tho, there are a couple of those maps now.
RobinHood][ - a map some people have awaited for quite some time, when it came out most players were disappointed, despite the annoying cave, you will see what i mean, i actually like this map by blinder, who only returned to make this map
Ross-H - a fun linear rush map with lasers and all that other shit you need to have bt fun^^
Rush2011 - good day rushers! if there are any here.. maybe Ron xDxD well nice challenging map by Metanet
Slama - an oldskool map i have lost and since searched for all those years.. i searched for so long and couldnt find it. in the end i described the beginning on #bt-match and niko told me the name, thanks bro!!
Sunset-v3 - ancient style map by Pawel, in my opinion it is unbalanced difficulty wise however a nice map which is why i put it online unlike some of his other maps which didnt make it^^
Villa-v2 - a nice mystery map by Mave, maybe somebody can show me how to cap it.. i cant find a way onto the pillars in the second room and if i ghost further im stuck in my tracks cause i dont know how to pass the lasers -.-
WalkJump-v2 - another map by Pawel, for all of you walkjumpers, hello Sheepy^^
the maps have been uploaded this noon.. if utfiles isnt gay as it has been quite sometimes they should be playable now

The title says it all.
There are new groups for the Cup, which leads to our second VRN team (Ron + Sajjad) traveling their stony path to division 2. I am sure with hard work they can make it NPz, good luck homies! (If you need some epic maz teamplay just ask me^^).
I wonder, I wonder, who those new noob supervisors are, who obviously have no clue of WTF theyre doing!!! 
On a related note I will upload the Maps from the mappacks TODAY, expect them to be online and redirected at.... gotta set myself a personal deadline.... 16 CET (have to eat first.. and lunch aint gonna make itself)

CoconutCaek_vF - yet another caek map
CursedGround - a rush map by chr1st based on the dm map Curse
ForStruppi - a rush map dedicated to struppi, made by lotus
Interscope - 3rd map by the mapper whitey, really good job i must say
LookingForClues-vF2 version update
oo's! - a decent rush map by roel
Skaarjified - a keymap in skaarj space base style, made by roel
Troitsky - latest map by the mapper raylen, less complicated and hard than most of his maps but still a definite challenge to your skills and brain

if youre not in the VRN clan on ClanBase yet, please tell me your email adresses you used for your registration at CB so i can add you as soon as possible and form a team for you which you will administrate independently.
the format of the cup will be 2on2, 4captures wins.
we want to send some serious players into that cup in order to show presence and have some fuckin fun
what does "serious" mean? serious means ZiriuZzz aka practice occasionally so youre able to stand your ground,
winning is NOT important nonetheless you could say: noone enjoys being canon fodder.

link takes you to last cups rules. not knowing the rules is never an excuse for ClanBase and violating the rules will not be taken lightly. i dont wanna threat you, but if you consciously break any of these rules you might be supsended from VRN, we wanna keep it clean and dont spoil anyones fun, cause that is what we want to have ourselves - Fun.
the cup schedule is like following:
Signups open - 6th of March
Signups close - 20th of March
Groups published - 27th of March
First matchweek - 4th of April
Cup closed - 26th of June (or sooner)
also note this, it is true that i (C-18 aka MaZ) will supervise this event; DO NOT address me with any clanbase related conflicts, i must NOT deal with that, you can talk to SAFeSTeR instead as he is objective and independent.
if you have any questions on how to do things like scheduling a match or the like, it is worth reading CBs FAQs. another option would be to open a thread with the title "CB Help" in the Questions/Discussions sub-forum or sign up at bt-match.net and make a thread there.
on a related note you will need the program mIRC or an alternative IRC client, as 1 hour before a match all players must join the match channel. it is also a good communication tool, in the channel #vrn.bt you can meet me and some other chillers. nearly the whole bt community can be found in #bt-match.
google is your friend with finding a good irc service/client.
so long im hoping for a great cup with awesome VRN participation!
